Welcome to June! Life has been buzzing with activity here at Connie Noftsier Studio, filled with new projects, festival preparations, and some exciting experimental "play."
Exciting Events and New Faces
In early May, I had the honor of being a featured guest at the Fibonacci Art Gallery in Watertown. It was a wonderful experience, and I met many lovely people who share a passion for art!

Festival Fun and Fresh Creations
The Adironduck Race marked the start of my spring festival season. My new Long Pond Paddle embroidery piece received a lot of appreciation, as did my designs featuring mushrooms and wildflowers.

Flower Power:
  • Viola/Sweet Violet: This recent creation might be my favorite so far!
  • Spring Tulip: Celebrating spring with tulips in uncommon colors.
  • Apple Blossoms: Inspired by ikebana, this piece features multiple apple blossoms on a branch and has a Japanese aesthetic.
I've also stitched new moths in tiny cubes for the Adirondack show.

New Landscapes Available
On the aerial landscape front, Chautauqua Lake is all set for my festival in July. I just finished a shadow box display of Lake Bonaparte with a glass door. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this presentation!
All these pieces are now listed on the website, or feel free to give me a call if you're interested.

Experimentation and Personal Adventures
For a bit of "play," I’ve been experimenting with a new silk landscape style. These delicate pieces have sparked numerous ideas, and I plan to create more this summer.
Additionally, I ventured into 3D needle felting, crafting a charming mushroom.
On a personal note, spring foraging for morel mushrooms was thrilling! Discovering these amazing mushrooms in the wild was truly exciting.

Upcoming Festivals
I’m looking forward to showcasing my work at upcoming festivals. Here’s where you can find me! Spring has been a delightful mix of creation, nature walks, and art classes. I hope to see you at one of my events soon!
Stay creative, Connie

Welcome to my blog! I'm excited to be creating fiber sculptures of nature, going on forays, hikes and biking in the Adirondacks and the 1,000 Islands regions for inspiration with my husband, Randy.
