Welcome to my journey!
Last year I revisited my early in life passion for embroidery, with a new twist, embroidered sculpture.

I started with a small woodland flower which led to a small fly agaric mushroom and some moss and I was hooked once again!

What exciting possibilities, the subject, patterns and presentation ideas keep coming so fast I can’t keep up! I have pages of ideas to develop, test and create. So many that this fall I will be getting done with my busy summer job of residential landscape design and estimating and going full time with fiber sculptures and embroidery.

I also own a Bed and Breakfast with 5 bedrooms in our home to host guests, serving breakfast and making new friends.

There are extensive gardens on our property with flowers, shrubs, trees, fruits trees and bushes, and vegetables. I have sitting areas in different “rooms” around our yard for guests to enjoy some nature. We are always growing something new or experimenting with a new technique.

My husband, Randy, and I love mushrooms and have grown oyster, lions mane and shitake here on the property. Most weekends after serving breakfast to guests you will find us searching for mushrooms wildflowers and moss in the woods on forays and hikes looking for inspiration and photographing new subjects for patterns and researching proper habitats for the bases of my fiber sculptures.

Living in the foothills of the Adirondacks and near the 1,000 Island Seaway region has been more than enough inspiration for many new wildflower and mushroom sculptures and I am most focused on plants in these areas.
I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I. Thank you for your interest in my new adventure!

Welcome to my blog! I'm excited to be creating fiber sculptures of nature, going on forays, hikes and biking in the Adirondacks and the 1,000 Islands regions for inspiration with my husband, Randy.
