Even more about us

My husband and I love to camp, hike and forage mushrooms.  It is a passion for both of us, being out in nature and enjoying wildlife flora and fauna.

We also both like to garden, he loves growing fruit and vegetables and I like the shrubs and flowers and making comfortable places to sit and enjoy a pleasant breeze or the sun in the summer.

We also own and run a Bed and Breakfast in our sweet, little town of Croghan, where you can sit on our big wrap around front porch and, if so inclined, chat with the friendly neighbors as they walk by.
I have several pieces of yard art, a barn quilt, painted glass and banners around the lawn to enjoy.

The three-course breakfasts are hearty and will sustain you well past lunch time, unless you are a kayaker, then maybe not, lol. Speaking of kayakers, we have plenty of beautiful hiking trails, falls, ponds and rivers around to visit.
We are also on the 812 bike trail and have nice wide shoulders on the main road. We have had several bike riders, including a two person bike.

Many people come to visit family and friends, attend class and family reunions, weddings, funerals and do genealogy research. We have also had traveling nurses and business travelers stay.

The house exterior was painted in 2023 by myself, with my husband who scraped the lower half and a crew to do the two upper floors. It was just a wee bit higher than we'd like to climb!

I have a small art shop in the front entry and if I'm in you are welcome to stop and see my newest pieces.

With several festivals that I have a booth at in the summer, it is a very busy life, perhaps I'll see you at a festival, if so introduce yourself, I would love to meet you.
Or stop in and book a room, we'd love to serve you breakfast.

SHIRLEY ROBINETT ART: https://shirleyrobinett.com
Having developed her own style of collage, Shirley Robinett has drawn on decades of experience and inspiration to create unique and recognizable art. She paints on paper, then cuts it up, assembles the pieces into a layered image and often adds a variety of materials. Each brightly-colored whimsical image tells its own story and is often a reflection of her own personal journey.  Each image she creates comes with a blessing. Robinett received her bachelor of fine arts degree from Montana State University
and currently resides in Bozeman, Montana.
You may find her art at https://shirleyrobinett.com.
